The Lafayette Kiwanis Club reaches out to the community in
many ways. Our Youth Services Committee contributes to some twenty local
agencies that serve youth. Our terrific Kid Program where youths are selected by
their teachers as good citizens and the B.U.G. program where again teachers
select those students who have improved their grades the most recognizes
deserving youth. They and their parents are invited to our noon meeting where they
are given lunch and a certificate of achievement. We also sponsor service clubs
at Purdue, Harrison High School, and Klondike Middle and Elementary Schools.
Diaper-A-Kid Day supplies diapers to the Women's Shelter at the YWCA.
